Squiz is hiring an FP&A Analyst!!!

Are you a numbers whiz with a knack for turning data into strategy? Join our team as an FP&A Analyst and help drive smart financial decisions that fuel our growth. If you love forecasting, financial modelling, and working closely with cross-functional teams—this could be the perfect role for you.

This role is open to candidates in Sydney Australia with hybrid working arrangements. 

For this role, we ask that you can demonstrate the following experience: (skills/ attitude required)

  • Experience with month end, annual budgeting and regular forecasting cycles 
  • Analytic mindset with strong proficiency in financial modelling and analysis using Excel. Ability to transform and manipulate raw data using Excel. 
  • Ability to communicate and present clearly and effectively (written and verbal), delivering meaningful financial guidance and support.
  • Be a self starter and hustle. Able to work and solve problems independently and as part of a small team. 
  • 2-3 years experience as an FPA or Commercial Finance Analyst

Nice to have

  • Experience with PowerBI and Sage Intacct a bonus
  • Experience in SaaS or subscription based businesses  
  • CA or CPA qualifications would be highly regarded

 What you would do (the role day to day): 

  • Finance Business Partnering: become the trust advisor for business stakeholders on opex spend; co-develop and co-manage opex budgets with stakeholders; providing variance analysis, trend reports, and financial insights. 
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: maintain the forecast model (P&L, Cashflow), making improvements where needed
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: develop and prepare monthly analysis of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow against key benchmarks 
  • Board Reporting: co-ordinate and prepare board pack materials each month, ensuring timely delivery for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform ad hoc financial / commercial analysis and board requests as required 

What does success look like?

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of P&L and Cashflow drivers of our business model
  • Quality, accuracy and timeliness of deliverables, in particular board materials and forecasting
  • Building good working relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • Provide insightful analysis of financial performance
  • Constant improvement and evolution of reporting and analysis where needed
