We’re growing rapidly and are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our Engineering team, helping us continuously improve the customer journey and booking experience across the Luxury Escapes platform.

About the team
Our cross-functional teams bring together Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to solve real customer problems rather than simply deliver tickets. We work in a lean, iterative way with a strong focus on MVP, experimentation, and “build, measure, learn.”

Used by millions of travellers each month. Our Frontend Engineers are responsible for improving key parts of the booking journey through product improvements, experimentation, and performance optimisation.

Small improvements to the customer experience can have a meaningful impact on how travellers discover and book incredible holidays.

Our engineers work primarily with React and Typescript, building and evolving a modern frontend platform integrated with a microservices backend running on Node.js and AWS.

Job Description

  • Build and ship high-quality frontend features in our React application that improve the customer journey and increase conversion across the Luxury Escapes platform.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to rapidly iterate on customer-facing features, experiments, and improvements to key parts of the booking experience.
  • Design and implement A/B tests and product experiments that help us learn faster and improve how travellers discover and book incredible holidays.
  • Use AI-augmented development tools and workflows to accelerate development, improve code quality, and help the team ship high-impact features faster.
  • Continuously improve frontend performance, reliability, accessibility, and user experience across our web platform serving millions of sessions each month.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to integrate frontend features with our microservice architecture and third-party travel systems.
  • Contribute to engineering best practices across the team, including automated testing, code quality, and continuous delivery.
  • Support and mentor other engineers through code reviews, pairing, and collaborative problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience building and maintaining large-scale React applications in production environments.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Typescript, with a deep understanding of modern frontend development practices.
  • Experience designing high-performance, responsive user interfaces and improving frontend performance, accessibility, and reliability.
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, including state management, component design, and scalable application structure.
  • Experience writing automated tests for frontend applications and contributing to CI/CD workflows that support rapid, reliable releases.
  • Experience working closely with product managers and designers to ship high-impact customer-facing features.
  • Familiarity integrating frontend applications with microservice-based backends and REST APIs.
  • Comfort using AI-augmented development tools and workflows to accelerate development and improve code quality.
