The Opportunity
Dexus is seeking a commercially astute funds management leader to assume ownership of a high-profile Fund Manager role — driving strategy execution, cultivating deep internal partnerships, and delivering on fund objectives through disciplined stakeholder engagement and a commitment to operational excellence.
You will make an impact by:
Delivering strong risk-adjusted performance and outperforming the MSCI office benchmark through active portfolio oversight and disciplined investment decision-making
Providing considered liquidity solutions as directed by JV co-owners, including recapitalisation strategies and unit sale execution, with a focus on value preservation and optimal timing
Managing a portfolio of stabilised and development assets to maximise value, enhance returns, and position assets for future liquidity events
Contributing to the rigorous evaluation of risk and return across JV mandates, ensuring investment decisions are grounded in sound analysis and aligned with co-owner objectives
Providing strategic oversight across the JV portfolio, identifying opportunities to optimise fund structure, capital allocation, and long-term performance trajectories
Attracting, developing and retaining high-calibre investment professionals, fostering a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous development
About You
You’re an experienced funds management professional with strong technical capability and a collaborative leadership style. You bring sound commercial judgement, deep market knowledge and enjoy working across complex investment, capital and stakeholder environments.
You will bring:
Demonstrated understanding and experience within the funds management environment in Australia
Office sector experience including capital transactions and development management
Strong understanding of different capital markets (including debt and treasury)
Ability to identify and extract value from assets, with exposure to developments
Demonstrated strength in cultivating high-value stakeholder relationships that drive outcomes.
Comprehensive negotiation, mediation, conflict management and customer retention skills
Leadership and ability to develop a high-performing team
