We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join our Fund Finance team in Sydney on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing finance professional to step into a hands-on leadership role supporting a portfolio of ESR-managed funds across both stabilised and development assets

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will lead financial management, reporting, compliance and fund accounting activities while partnering closely with Funds Management, Asset Management, Development and Corporate teams. We are looking for a second or third year Manager who can hit the ground running, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong foundation in financial reporting and stakeholder management. Experience within real estate, funds management or property funds is highly regarded, and exposure to Yardi will be advantageous.

Key responsibilities as a Fund Finance Manager:

  • Lead fund financial reporting, month-end processes and compliance obligations across a portfolio of ESR-managed funds.
  • Manage debt, tax, distribution and statutory reporting requirements, partnering with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Support acquisitions, divestments and strategic business initiatives through financial analysis and commercial insight.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, controls and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with Funds Management, Asset Management and Development teams while mentoring junior finance team members

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills, experience and approach:

  • CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 5+ years' experience in funds finance, fund accounting, audit or a similar finance environment, ideally operating at Manager level.
  • Strong financial reporting, analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
  • Real estate, property funds or alternative assets experience preferred, with exposure to Yardi highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and commercially minded approach.
