WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Yodo1 is looking for a Game Operations Manager for our China games team.

You are:

WHAT WE EXPECT

You will:

  • Manage the Live Ops Calendar: Design and execute a comprehensive calendar of in-game events, sales, bundles, and seasonal content tailored specifically for Chinese players.

  • Monetization Strategy: Strategize and implement bundle pricing and event structures (e.g., event leaderboards, pvp rewards, gacha mechanics) to maximize LTV (Lifetime Value) and ARPPU (Average Revenue Per Paying User).

  • Localization of Global Content: Adapt global game features, events, battle passes, and promotions to be culturally relevant and engaging for the China market—adjusting difficulty, rewards, and themes as needed.

  • Technical Execution: Set up, test, and launch live events within the game using our CMS/CRM tools, writing all related notifications and in-game messages.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze daily player data to understand what drives engagement and spending. Report on the success of specific bundles and events, using data to iterate on future offers.

  • Community & Feedback Loop: Work closely with local community and marketing teams to gather player feedback and identify pain points or opportunities for new events.

  • Crisis Management: Act quickly to resolve live game problems (e.g., server issues, exploit bugs), coordinating fixes, and communicating with players to maintain trust.

  • Compliance: Ensure all game operations comply with local regulations (e.g., loot box disclosures) and platform guidelines.

You must have:

  • Native Mandarin Chinese and professional English fluency.

  • 3+ years of experience managing live game operations for a mobile game in the China market.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration within cross-functional and globally distributed teams.

  • Deep passion for mobile games.

You might have:

  • Experience working with teams across different locations, cultures, and time zones.

  • Proficiency in CRM / CMS platforms and Unity.
