What you’ll do

  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop, maintain, and maximize relationships with customers of GEHO® industry pumps across the East territory including Australia, PNG, and New Zealand. Daily engagement to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Success means strong, long-term partnerships and increased market share.

  • Supply Agreement Management: Initiate, manage, and maintain supply agreements in the region, assisting the End User Sales Division with implementation to ensure smooth operations and customer fulfillment.

  • Technical Support and Training: Provide up-to-date technical information and recommendations to clients, supported by the WMNL Technical Support Specialists team. Promote technical training within the customer base to enhance product knowledge and usage.

  • Business Development: Identify and promote new business opportunities including profitable upgrades. Track prospects, gather market intelligence, and monitor competitor activity to drive growth.

  • Product Trials and Upgrades: Collaborate with the Optimization Team to implement product trials and upgrades aimed at improving Total Ownership Cost (TOC) and pump wear life.

  • Forecasting and Reporting: Assist in aftermarket sales budget composition, forecast spare parts usage, participate in SIOP planning, and develop weekly performance reports including site visit documentation.

  • Inventory and Stock Management: Monitor and recommend stock levels in Australia to meet market demand efficiently.

  • Service Proposition Promotion: Advocate for service offerings throughout the customer base and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) within allocated customers.

  • Hands-on Support: Support GEHO commissioning activities and service teams as needed, demonstrating a practical approach.

  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Attend training sessions including those at Weir facilities in the Netherlands and share learnings with internal teams and customers regularly.

  • Travel Requirements: Frequent travel within the region and beyond is required to maintain customer relationships and support business activities.

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:

  • Mechanical background in engineering or as a mechanical/electrical fitter.

  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and apply practical solutions.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience in the mining or industrial pump sectors.

  • Knowledge of statistical and mathematical concepts relevant to product performance and forecasting.

  • Previous experience in customer-facing technical roles.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and across regions.
