Job Description

We currently have an unprecedented opportunity for an experienced and dynamic professional to lead Elysia Wellness Retreat as our General Manager.

This newly established position will see you actively leading Elysia Wellness Retreat through its repositioning, collaborating closely with both property and corporate teams. This role will see you embodying the rejuvenated Elysia brand and ensuring alignment with our strategic framework, operating philosophy and program execution onsite.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with the brand and marketing team to develop the ideal brand positioning, including determining ideal target segments
  • Oversee the overall delivery and success of the property, whilst leading the onsite team and working cohesively with all corporate functions
  • Construction and execution of all programming aligned to the updated brand positioning in market and guest profiles
  • Work closely with brand and operational excellence to define updated brand standards and guest experience essentials, whilst ensuring strict implementation and adherence onsite to drive NPS and guest satisfaction
  • Re-develop the current Food & Beverage offering and deliver the opening of the Elysia restaurant to the public and extended use to all Elysia patrons
  • Work in conjunction with the commercial teams (brand & marketing, digital, sales and revenue) to develop annual action plans
  • Implement and drive strategies for upselling & sundry sales across all departments i.e. retail sales, room upsells
  • Investigate & introduce new high profit market segments to the property.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will require the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position, with a proven track record of success in developing and growing wellness programs
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing the financial performance of a wellness program or property programs
  • Demonstrated change management understanding, with the ability to provide solid change support and advice within agreed timeframes, whilst supporting employees to adopt and embed change
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
