Job Summary

Within Light & Wonder, Strategic Sourcing operates as a global sub-function of the Global operations.  The Strategic Global Sourcing group is a small, high functioning team focused on setting the strategy for the front-end of the supply chain.  The Strategic Sourcing group determines the supply strategy, selects supply partners, negotiates commercial terms, and coordinates supplier interactions and supplier management.

The Senior Manager Sourcing will be responsible for identifying and leading global projects designed to improve the Light & Wonder supply chain with a special focus on global supplier located in the APAC region.  These global projects will drive cost reduction, margin improvement, reduce lead-time, improve quality, and mitigate supply risk.  Those global projects are transformational in nature and require strategic thinking, effective problem solving, and an ability to influence diverse teams.

A successful candidate will be data driven and cross-functionally minded.   The candidate will be able to, monetize sourcing opportunities, develop global suppliers and collaborate with cross-functional business partners.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work cross-functionally to define and implement Global Sourcing strategies.
  • Negotiate with global or regional suppliers utilizing volume aggregation, competitive bidding, low-cost country sourcing,  
  • Identify and develop suppliers to facilitate competition, mitigate risk, and introduce new technologies.
  • Interface with Finance to link sourcing savings with budget.
  • Manage supplier development using supplier scorecards, quarterly supplier business reviews, “preferred supplier” programs, etc.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years’ experience in sourcing, supply chain or related fields.  With an emphasis in direct material strategic sourcing. Mechanical sourcing background is a plus.
  • Experienced with category management and multi-step strategic sourcing processes in a range of categories.
  • Skilled negotiator.
  • Experience with leveraged agreements, multi-year contracts.
  • Highly results-oriented and focused on business priorities with a successful record of accomplishments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills – able to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement and assess viable solutions.  Develop and execute comprehensive action plans.
  • Excellent supplier relationship management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently, including ability to assess and manage priorities.
  • Effective communications skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical expertise.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.  Must be able to build rapport with Operations and cross-functional colleagues and be able to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills
