What we do at Weir

We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.

• KPI Systemisation: Define and systemise material ESG KPIs, including water intensity, customer safety, and responsible supply chain metrics, ensuring practical, consistent data capture aligned with reporting needs.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain effective relationships across Divisions and Corporate Functions, working closely with senior stakeholders to improve sustainability data governance and consolidation.

• IS&T Integration: Act as the sustainability representative within the IS&T Product Operating Model, ensuring sustainability requirements are embedded in digital, data, and systems initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA integration.

• Insight Delivery: Partner with Sustainability and business teams to translate sustainability data into actionable insights that drive improved performance, risk management, and opportunity identification.

• Innovation and Monitoring: Monitor external ESG systems and emerging technologies, including AI, to recommend and support ‘buy versus build’ decisions and interim solutions.

• Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to engage with Divisions, functions, and key stakeholders globally.

• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
