Are you a relationship-driven medical liaison or business development professional looking for a dynamic role that blends relationship management with strategic growth?  Join Dudley Private Hospital as our GP Liaison Officer, facilities owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care. 

 

About the Role

Reporting to the hospital CEO you will work closely with the Business Development and Growth Team on a part-time permanent basis. This role is responsible for driving referral growth, increasing engagement with General Practitioners, Practice Managers, allied health professionals and Visiting Medical Officers promoting hospital services, and strengthening relationships with GPs and other referrers.

This is a highly visible relationship management role focused on building strong referrer networks, identifying growth opportunities, supporting Visiting Medical Officers private practice development, and promoting hospital services and specialties to the broader medical community.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow referrals through GP visits and networking to identify new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with GP practices, Practice Managers, Allied Health professionals and Visiting Medical Officers in the catchment area.
  • Maintain a detailed and accurate CRM database and provide reporting and insights on referral trends and growth opportunities.
  • Promote hospital services, VMOs, and clinical specialties through targeted communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support onboarding and promotion of new VMOs and facilitate strong referrer relationships.
  • Collaborate with hospital and surgical centre leadership and key stakeholders to support strategic growth initiatives.

 

About you

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in business development, healthcare liaison, stakeholder engagement or a similar relationship focused role.
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining professional relationships across stakeholder groups.
  • Strong communication, networking, and influencing skills with the ability to engage confidently with medical professionals.
  • Experience coordinating events, education sessions, or stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience using CRM systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret data and identify strategic growth opportunities.
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout the catchment area.

 

Desirable

  • Experience in private healthcare or the medical industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or Health.
  • Understanding of GP referral pathways and specialist engagement.
  • Experience with Power BI, CRM reporting, or data analytics tools.
