Asset Management

About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Investment Solutions Analyst to join the Investment Solutions & Oversight (ISO) team within Asset Management Australia. This role offers a unique opportunity to build a broad understanding of investment management while developing technical, analytical and client-focused skills.

The ISO team is a centralised function that works closely with investment specialists, responsible investment experts, distribution teams and investment boutiques across the Perpetual Group. During your first year, you will split your time between supporting key ISO activities and gaining exposure to investment teams across areas such as Australian Equities, Fixed Interest and Multi Asset strategies. You will then transition into a full-time analyst role supporting investment oversight, analytics and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the creation and maintenance of investment presentations, data templates and product materials.

  • Produce competitor analysis and sales support materials using investment and market data platforms.

  • Deliver accurate investment information for research houses, consultants and client reviews.

  • Respond to technical and information requests from internal stakeholders across distribution and investment teams.

  • Assist with portfolio analysis, performance reporting and investment research projects.

  • Contribute to process improvements and the adoption of new tools and technology within the team.

  • Participate in project-based work including client commentary, ESG analysis and portfolio risk analysis.

About you

  • Recently completed an undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrate a strong academic record and genuine interest in financial markets.

  • Have up to two years of experience through internships, placements, university projects or other relevant experience.

  • Bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Have advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables. Experience with VBA or Python is advantageous.

  • Are keen to learn investment platforms such as FactSet, Morningstar Direct and Bloomberg.

  • Communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing.

  • Are highly organised, detail-oriented and enjoy working collaboratively across teams.
