Within Bapcor Retail, we are seeking a Graphic Designer - Private Brand to play a key role in supporting and evolving our private‑brand portfolio. This role is ideal for a creative designer with an entrepreneurial mindset, who enjoys bringing products to life through impactful packaging, artwork and brand execution ensuring new products stand out in market while meeting sustainability and APCO compliance requirements.

This role sits at the intersection of design, packaging, brand and sustainability, working hands on with new products arriving from overseas and ensuring they “pop” on shelf visually strong, commercially competitive and fully APCO compliant.

As Graphic Designer Private Brand, you will manage and execute packaging and creative design across Bapcor’s private‑brand portfolio. Working closely with Merchandise, Own Brands, Marketing and external suppliers, you’ll be responsible for creating packaging artwork that is brand aligned, production‑ready and market‑relevant.

This is a hands‑on individual contributor role where initiative, creativity and attention to detail are valued.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and delivering packaging artwork across multiple private‑label brands
  • Creating visually compelling packaging that stands out on shelf while meeting commercial requirements
  • Applying APCO Environmental credentials across packaging ranges to ensure compliance
  • Managing packaging artwork from concept through to final production
  • Partnering with Merchandise, Own Brands, Marketing, Digital and external suppliers
  • Maintaining and evolving private‑brand style guides
  • Managing assets within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system
  • Balancing creativity with structure, deadlines and production requirements

You’re creative, proactive, and comfortable owning your work end‑to‑end.

You’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role (packaging design experience essential)
  • Strong skills across Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
  • Solid understanding of packaging and retail design principles
  • The ability to take a brief and turn it into finished, production‑ready artwork
  • High attention to detail and strong time management
  • A practical, solutions‑focused mindset you’re a driver, not a passenger
  • The ability to work at pace and adapt in a changing environment

Experience in retail campaign design is desirable but not essential.
