Your new role

Are you ready to lead transformation where it matters most? QBE is committed to making transformation a core capability - not just delivering change but embedding it into our DNA. As Group Head of ETO Strategy, Roadmap & Governance, you’ll be at the centre of designing and delivering this vision, working in close partnership with senior leaders, transformation officers, and board and executive committees.

Key duties include:

  • Design & Deliver Strategy: Lead the creation and execution of the enterprise transformation strategy, embedding transformation as a core capability.

  • Governance & Standards: Act as custodian of transformation governance, supporting divisional transformation offices to operate to the highest standards.

  • Roadmap Ownership: Own and optimise the enterprise transformation roadmap, managing investment, sequencing, and leveraging shared services.

  • Prioritisation & Capital Allocation: Lead the annual and quarterly prioritisation process for investment, ensuring thoughtful allocation and value realisation.

  • Board & Committee Reporting: Coordinate, plan, and deliver transparent reporting to the Group Transformation Steering Committee and Board.

  • Capability Building: Deliver tooling, training, and build organisational readiness for transformation, working closely with transformation officers across regions.

Please note, you will not hear from the Talent Acquisition team until mid-Jan 2026 due to the annual shut down period.

About you

You are a seasoned leader with a proven track record of driving enterprise-wide transformation in complex, regulated environments. Your strategic acumen is matched by a deep understanding of the insurance sector and the key metrics that underpin business performance. You excel at building high-impact partnerships across regions and functions, influencing at board and executive committee levels.

You will also have demonstrable:

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate vision and inspire senior teams and stakeholders.

  • Expertise in transformation capability, governance, and capital allocation across global portfolios.

  • Sophisticated approach to planning, organisation, and change management, ensuring measurable value delivery.

  • Adept at navigating interdependencies and optimising investment across divisions.

  • Trusted advisor to senior leadership, fostering collaboration and driving enterprise-wide alignment.
