Guides Weapons and Explosive Ordnance

Under the Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Integrated Work Package (IWP), KBR provides Above The Line (ATL) Contracted Support (CS) to the GWEO Group, Department Of Defence, across a range of programs, projects and business functions. GWEO Group deliver a range of capabilities to directly enable the achievement of mission for Groups and Services. GWEO are undertaking a range of prioritized activities to deliver upon the updated Defence and Industry Strategic Priorities for Government, throughout the Sovereign Domestic Production capability supply chain

The Opportunity:

KBR is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from highly skilled and experienced defence technical and engineering professionals to join our dynamic GWEO team.  KBR is seeking applicants who may have the following experience, preferably within a Defence or industry manufacturing environment:

  • Technical Program Management
  • Technical Project Management
  • Program and Project Support
  • Schedule Management
  • Integrated Logistics Support
  • Guided Weapons and/or Explosive Ordnance Engineering
  • Systems Engineering
  • Integrated Logistics Support

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical or engineering background, with a passion for innovation and commitment to supporting national security through the development of a sovereign Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance industrial base.

The preferred location is Canberra; however, KBR will consider candidates from other locations across Australia (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Benalla, Mulwala, and Adelaide) if their background and experience is suitable / competitive.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • Proven experience in defence technology, engineering, or related technical field
  • Experience in working with defence standards and compliance requirements (or other related and highly regulated industries)  
  • Experience working within major defence projects (CASG experience desired)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team engagement
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and knowledge transfer to your peers

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding an NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
