Head of ANZ Fund Services Operations Delivery - Executive Director
Job Description

As an Executive Director in the Fund Services Operations team, you will be responsible for; providing clear transparent guidance, and effective and strategic leadership by fostering team advancement through staff development initiatives and process enhancements. In your role you will be responsible for ensuring JP Morgan Funds Services delivers an exceptional and consistent service to our clients by managing service level agreement (SLA) reporting, query management and the measurement of performance through metrics. Your new role will be highly customer centric and spans across the Funds Services functions (including Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, Tax, APRA and Transfer Agency). As the Head of Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) Operations Services Delivery (OSD) you will oversee the team responsible for managing operational delivery to the SLA, including query management, and day to day client management.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide client-facing operational leadership to ensure service delivery standards are continuously met and align with client service level agreements.
- Ensure Service Delivery Management through proper execution on client deliverables, communicate client status updates, and provide Key Performance Indicators to senior management for appropriate escalation and prioritization of client issues, in partnership with Client Service and Relationship Management Teams.
- Manage client change requirements, providing valued, efficient, and market-leading service on an ongoing basis, working on both new client onboardings and maintaining existing clients.
- Work closely with the Global Operation Transformation Team to identify opportunities for alignment across operations, driving change through innovation and transformation to define the target operating model and improve the controls environment.
- Facilitate smooth transitions during system upgrades by providing guidance, direction, and support to project teams, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Partner closely with the ANZ Leadership Team and wider functions to enable consistent and effective operational processes, advocating process improvement and change from concept to final delivery, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Assist in delivering other operational activities supporting regional functions as required to successfully deliver the Fund Services product sets.
- Review the structure and client allocation of the OSD team to ensure they are set up for success and ongoing self/job development, driving people and engagement initiatives.
- Define the OSD change process and implement change governance, attending and representing fund services operations at the fortnightly Organizational Change forum (PDC).
- Work with the Australian management team to determine the strategic direction for the OSD team and implement that vision, driving the definition and implementation of the engagement model with other functional teams within JP Morgan vs OSD, aligning expectations and rolling out clear roles and responsibilities.
- Challenge the status quo to help move the organization forward, leading the set-up of operational forums to aid discussions around clients at risk and their associated action plans (Horizon).
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- High caliber candidate with a proven track record at managing at a senior level, with Ideally exposure to regional/international roles.
- A strong understanding of fund services operations, including fund accounting, financial reporting, transfer agency, and alternative investments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their best.
- A team player who is flexible and can maintain both a positive attitude and high level of performance in demanding/ time-sensitive initiatives.
- Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Possess curiosity, resourcefulness, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to synthesize large amounts of information and propose recommendation.
- Experience in developing and implementation of large-scale transformation.
- Demonstrated success in developing business strategy to deliver business outcomes.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 15+ years of experience in the fund administration Industry (incorporating financial reporting activities, Net Asset Valuations/Fund accounting and Audit) in a service delivery model.
- Ability to build a strong talent pipeline by developing other leaders by establishing clear objectives and constructing career pathways.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing challenging conversations and confidently handle performance management when necessary.
- Experience working in a high growth team, start-up environment, adaptable, agile in approach and able to work in a constantly evolving business.
