Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.
We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role:

We're looking for a commercially minded, analytical and customer-obsessed leader to drive new customer growth across our APAC corridors. Reporting to the GM APAC, you'll work out where the growth opportunities are in each corridor: market size and share, customer preferences, funnel improvements, new customer pricing, promotions and audiences. You'll turn that into a clear, prioritised acquisition plan. You'll share accountability with Marketing for APAC acquisition, and you'll make our marketing more effective. The role has no direct reports. Your impact comes from influencing Product, Marketing, CS and I&T to deliver the plan. Success means 20% year-on-year growth in customer acquisition while increasing front-book NPV. This is a hybrid role based in our Sydney office.

You Will:

  • Research and analyse each APAC corridor to find out what it takes to grow it, across customers, pricing, promotions and audiences
  • Identify the customer segments and channels that perform best for new customer growth
  • Benchmark Remitly against competitors by corridor, and track market and customer trends
  • Bring customer preferences and pain points into the plan, and form and test hypotheses to learn quickly
  • Find friction in the new-customer funnel and in local onboarding
  • Build and maintain pricing and acquisition models, including customer NPV, LTV and promo CAC, to guide investment
  • Write business cases that quantify growth opportunities and trade-offs, and use them to shape partner teams' priorities and roadmaps
  • Turn your analysis into high-quality briefs that define the problem for Marketing, who own channel and campaign decisions
  • Define the APAC acquisition and growth plan, give stakeholders clear context and priorities, and track execution against the plan

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience owning ambiguous, high-impact problems end to end
  • A background in fintech, consumer technology, e-commerce or strategy consulting (management consulting preferred)
  • Experience in a global matrix organisation and a fast-growing international business
  • An understanding of how high-volume, high-frequency transaction businesses work (remittance experience is a plus)
  • Strong quantitative and modelling skills, and fluency in unit economics: LTV, CAC, pricing and promotion mechanics
  • A hypothesis-driven approach: you structure problems, combine qualitative and quantitative insight, and get to root causes fast
  • Experience using AI tools to speed up analysis
  • Exposure to both brand and performance marketing, and a collaborative way of partnering with Marketing teams
  • A proven ability to influence without authority, shaping other teams' priorities with data-driven business cases and customer evidence
  • Deep customer empathy, and the ability to explain why a customer chooses Remitly over alternatives
  • A roll-up-the-sleeves mindset combined with strategic depth, and comfort building clarity and alignment in ambiguous situations
  • Willingness to work across time zones, including some evening meetings and occasional travel

Our Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental & Vision via Bupa
  • Life Insurance & Disability
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) available for eligible employees
  • Mental Health & Family Forming Benefits
  • Continuing education
