As the Head of HR, Cartier Oceania, you will be a pivotal strategic leader, responsible for defining and executing the comprehensive Human Resources strategy across Cartier Australia and New Zealand. You will act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring HR strategies are fully aligned with Cartier's global vision and local business objectives.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?  

This role supports around 180 employees in total across Cartier Australia and New Zealand markets. This is a managerial role with 1 direct report that focuses on partnering with retail population.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

HR Strategy & Workforce Planning

  • Lead the development and execution of the overall HR strategy for Cartier Oceania, ensuring alignment with global Cartier and Richemont objectives.
  • Drive strategic workforce planning, collaborating closely with business leaders to anticipate future talent needs and develop proactive strategies for talent acquisition, development and retention.
  • Provide expert strategic advice and counsel to the leadership team on all HR matters, influencing key business decisions.
  • Champion organizational design and development initiatives to foster a high-performing, agile and sustainable organization.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of HR data and systems, ensuring compliance and informed decision-making.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Work closely with the Total Reward team on salary benchmarking exercises, make recommendations based on market data and organizations' priorities.
  • Lead the analysis of internal and external market data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, making strategic recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Oversee the management of headcount, personnel cost planning, budgeting and control, ensuring strategic allocation of resources.
  • Drive the annual salary & bonus review process ensuring fairness, transparency and alignment with performance and market benchmarks.

Talent Acquisition

  • Partner with the TA team on employer brand building initiatives and recruitment.
  • Monitor recruitment processes to ensure high-quality and efficient hiring outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Manage the orientation program, ensure that new joiners have a first-class onboarding experience.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and trends, implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Talent Management and Development

  • Lead the implementation of a comprehensive Learning & Development (L&D) agenda for Cartier Oceania, aligned with business objectives and global L&D frameworks.
  • Oversee the L&D lifecycle, including needs assessment, curriculum design, program delivery (e.g., leadership development, technical skills, soft skills, digital literacy) and evaluation of effectiveness.
  • Support management to develop and follow up of individual development plans.
  • Manage the annual organization and talent review process and ensure accurate talent evaluation information through talent management desktop. Ensuring robust talent identification, assessment and development plans are in place to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders, Cartier International L&D, Regional L&D and Richemont Group L&D teams to leverage global resources, share best practices and ensure local L&D initiatives are integrated and impactful.

Employee Relations and Employee Engagement

  • Develop and implement strategies to foster a positive, inclusive and productive work environment, promoting strong employee relations and engagement.
  • Provide expert guidance and oversight on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances and conflict resolution, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies
  • Handle local labour tribunal cases (with the support from Richemont Compliance and Legal).
  • Detect and handle complaints, disputes, and grievances from all employees, reporting relevant matters to the SEAO HR leadership team.
  • Coach and empower line managers in effective employee management, performance improvement and disciplinary processes.
  • Drive and analyse employee engagement initiatives and surveys, translating insights into actionable strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Oversee and provide strategic guidance on all visa and immigration matters for employees, ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting international talent mobility.

Other Projects

  • Lead and collaborate to key HR projects and initiatives at Group, HQ and Regional levels, ensuring successful implementation and impact within Cartier Oceania.

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • Relevant degree and minimum 10 years' experience in a HR Business Partner role or with full spectrum of human resource functions.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic HR and L&D initiatives that drive business results.
  • Exceptional leadership, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into practical HR solutions and measurable outcomes.
  • Proactive, passionate, results-oriented, and agile, consistently taking initiative with a strong business acumen and a data-driven approach to problem-solving
  • High level of integrity, discretion and personal accountability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a must.
  • Ability to thrive and lead in a dynamic, fast-paced and complex international environment.
