Why this is an exciting opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a newly created senior leadership role within the Platform Product team to shape the future of HUB24’s managed portfolios and investment menus.
As Head of Managed Portfolios & Investment Menus, you’ll set the strategic direction across our managed portfolio offering, investment menus, pricing and commercial frameworks, while remaining close to the detail and actively driving execution. You’ll build and lead a team, strengthen relationships with fund managers and model providers, and help evolve our offering to support customer needs and future growth.
We’re looking for an energetic, commercially minded leader who is still genuinely hands-on. You’ll be comfortable moving between strategy, governance and delivery, bringing proposals forward, working through complex commercial decisions and partnering across Product, Technology, Investment Governance and the broader business.
Experience working with internal trustee boards will be important, particularly as you take ownership of the Investment Governance Framework following the insourcing of the Trustee for the HUB24 Super Fund. This is a rare opportunity to establish a new capability, influence how it operates and leave a meaningful mark on the future of our product offering.

What you’ll be doing

  • Establish and lead a new specialist function responsible for managed portfolios, investment menus and platform cash, initially managing a small team.
  • Set the strategy for HUB24’s investment menus across Discover, Core and Choice, ensuring the offering remains relevant, competitive and commercially sustainable.
  • Own the commercial growth of managed portfolios, including provider mix, distribution strategy and share of funds under administration.
  • Develop and manage commercial policies and pricing frameworks across managed portfolios, investment menus, third-party offers and cash interest arrangements.
  • Lead relationships with fund managers and model providers, including onboarding, commercial negotiations, rebates, fees and broader partnership management.
  • Own the Investment Governance Framework following the insourcing of the HUB24 Super Fund Trustee, balancing commercial priorities with appropriate risk and governance considerations.
  • Work closely with Product, Platform Development, Investment Research and Governance teams to translate strategy into a practical, growth-oriented roadmap.
  • Lead portfolio simplification, delisting and closure decisions, including the associated stakeholder and communication strategy.
  • Bring forward proposals for new asset classes, investment structures and categories through the appropriate governance forums.
  • Represent HUB24 in relevant industry forums and build strong relationships across the managed accounts and investments ecosystem.
  • Act as a senior resolution point for managed portfolio matters, working within established regulatory and licensing frameworks.

What you bring

You don’t need to tick every box, but experience in the below will set you up for success.

Experience & Skills

  • Deep experience across managed accounts, investment instruments and distribution within an Australian regulated wealth platform environment.
  • Experience partnering with internal trustee boards and operating effectively within established investment governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated commercial ownership, including pricing strategy, provider negotiations, rebates and fee economics.
  • A hands-on leadership style, with the energy and drive to establish a new function while remaining actively involved in delivery.
  • Strong strategic thinking, combined with the ability to translate direction into tangible commercial and product outcomes.
  • Established credibility and relationships with fund managers, model providers and relevant industry bodies.
  • Confidence operating within regulatory and licensing boundaries, with a clear understanding of accountability and decision-making responsibilities.
  • The ability to navigate complexity, influence senior stakeholders and bring structure to an evolving area of the business.
