Your new role 

  • Define and deliver the Pacific technical pricing strategy, translating business plans and risk appetite into commercial outcomes
  • Partner closely with underwriting leaders and Portfolio Managers to drive profitable growth across multiple lines including Property, Casualty and Motor portfolios
  • Lead end‑to‑end pricing activity, including tools, rating structures, technical & market premiums, and portfolio monitoring
  • Develop and maintain modern underwriting and pricing tools, providing product‑led insights to support expansion
  • Own the pricing roadmap, governance and compliance, ensuring alignment with internal policy and external regulatory requirements
  • Lead, coach and develop the Pricing team, aligning capability, capacity and delivery to business priorities
  • Play a key role in regional pricing initiatives across NZ and the Pacific, contributing to projects and system enhancements & everyday improvements.

About you 

  • Bring people‑leadership experience and enjoy supporting, coaching and developing high‑performing technical teams.
  • A strong background in general insurance pricing, ideally across high‑volume portfolios.
  • You are comfortable translating strategy into practical, achievable plans across products, projects and technology initiatives.
  • Can work collaboratively and communicate with confidence, partnering effectively with Product, Underwriting, Analytics and Technology teams
  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical pricing outcomes at pace, balancing multiple priorities, while delivering high‑quality outcomes
  • Naturally curious and improvement‑focused, with the judgement and credibility to influence and advise at senior levels
