The Opportunity
Our Private Cloud is a cornerstone of our success. This pivotal role is essential for driving our go-to-market strategy for Private Cloud, as well as defining, developing and maintaining the products and solutions that support this strategy.
Our Private Cloud Product & Architecture team, composed of talented product managers and architects, collectively owns the solutions, products, commercial terms, and positioning of our private and hybrid cloud offerings. The Private Cloud disciplines are as follows:
1. Compute
2. Network/Security/Colocation
3. Storage and DR/BCP
The role works closely with the CTO and the Group Executive – Macquarie Cloud Services to set the strategy and vision around the private and hybrid cloud product portfolio.

What you'll be doing
- Work with the CTO to determine the overall business model, direction, competitive positioning, market positioning, profitability model of the private cloud and hybrid business.
- Lead and manage the team to deliver outcomes required.
- Actively coach, mentor and unblock senior team members so they can deliver on the product outcomes our customers expect in an evolving environments.
- New product research and conceptualisation.
- Creating product roadmap.
- Product management - execution of the New Product Introduction and Lifecycle processes for new and existing products.
- Develop relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10 to 15 years as a senior leader in a “Head of or senior manager” technology role.
- Previous experience working across Infrastructure, IaaS or private cloud products is required.
- Technical background in infrastructure is highly desirable.
- 10+ years experience in relevant technology and product roles.
- Strong product management experience
- Being a strategic thinker.
- Exceptional people leadership and development skills. Strong experience leading high performing product teams.
- Relevant industry accreditation and qualifications.
