🌍 Work From Anywhere 🌍

You will: Build and lead Spicy Koala, Yodo1’s PC publishing label — owning the strategy, the launches, the pipeline, and the team from the ground up.

Must have: Extensive experience in games publishing, including senior ownership of PC titles and a track record of successful launches.

WHO WE ARE | WHAT WE DO

At Yodo1, we don’t just grow games—we help turn them into household names.

With billions of downloads across our portfolio, we’ve spent more than a decade shaping the growth of iconic titles. From helping first-time creators monetize their debut games, to bringing world-class IPs from Hasbro, Paramount, Legendary, and Sony Pictures into the hands of top studios such as Rivergame, Candivore, 37Games, and Tencent Studios—we’ve proven what’s possible when creativity meets global expertise.

Yodo1 Games is raising the bar: transforming great titles into lasting franchises that define gaming for generations. Drawing on experience with successes like Transformers: Earth Wars, Rodeo Stampede, and Ski Safari, we provide the systems, partnerships, and global reach that help visionary developers build worlds players will return to for decades.

Joining Yodo1 Games means more than a job—it means becoming part of a team that lives and breathes games, works with some of the most talented creators in the industry, and is driven by a mission to shape the future of gaming.

We love games. We play games. And together, we grow games that last.

WHAT WE BELIEVE | HOW WE WORK

We believe in the future and power of the mobile gaming industry and that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to build a life they love through games—from anywhere in the world.

We believe you know when and where you do your best work. We are fully remote by design and we WFA: Work From Anywhere. We don’t impose hours or limit time off.

We are driven by performance and we experiment often. We care about impact, not titles.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re building Spicy Koala, Yodo1’s PC publishing label, and we’re looking for the leader to build it. As Head of Publishing, you’ll own our PC publishing efforts end to end: the strategy, the launches, the pipeline, and the team.

You’ll define what kind of publisher Spicy Koala becomes and prove it by shipping successful games - part strategist, part operator, part dealmaker. You’ll set the long-term direction while rolling up your sleeves to establish the business, launch the titles already on our slate, and play a part in deciding the ones that come next.

You are:

  • Focused on impact. You understand the 80/20 rule and focus on activities that matter.

  • Performance-driven and growth-oriented. You have an intrinsic will to succeed while unafraid to try, fail, and learn by experimenting with new approaches and testing ideas.

  • Cooperative. You help others succeed; you give and receive feedback well.

  • Relentlessly curious. You ask questions.

  • Humble. You ask for help; you are quick to admit and learn from your mistakes.

  • SMART. You work and communicate in ways that are Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

WHAT WE EXPECT

You will:

  • Set the strategy. Define the vision, positioning, and business model for Spicy Koala — what we publish, who we publish for, and what makes us stand out as a PC publisher

  • Establish the business. Build the operational foundation — processes, budgets, P&L, tools, and partnerships — needed to run a publishing label from the ground up

  • Launch our signed titles successfully. Own the go-to-market for the games already on our slate: store presence and wish-listing, marketing, community, PR, platform relations, and launch execution.

  • Build the team. Identify the roles we need, hire a high-quality founding team, and lead them as the label grows

  • Own the numbers. Take full P&L accountability for the publishing business, setting and delivering against revenue and profitability targets

  • Manage platform and external partners, including storefronts (Steam, Epic, GOG), console platform holders, and partners across marketing, localization, porting, and PR.

You must have:

  • Extensive experience in leadership positions within game publishing, with experience fully owning PC (or PC/console) titles and a track record of successful launches

  • A deep understanding of the PC publishing landscape — storefronts, wishlisting, launch marketing, community, and platform relations

  • Experience owning and/or coordinating a game’s full publishing stack: from marketing and go-to-market, to production and platform relations

  • Experience identifying trends in the market around player appetite

  • A strong business and P&L mindset, and the ability to make decisions based on sound data analysis and careful prioritization

  • Experience building and leading teams

  • A strong network of developers

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to motivate teams across multiple countries and time zones.

You might have:

  • Experience building or scaling a publishing label or new business from scratch

  • Console publishing experience (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo) alongside PC

  • Experience with live-service or games-as-a-service titles on PC

WHAT WE OFFER

Compensation. We pay based on qualifications, experience, and fit for the role. We provide an allowance to purchase your own device or equipment and offer variable compensation through our annual bonus program.
