Job Summary

 

Over the past seven years, Plenti’s Renewable Energy Finance business has grown to become one of the leaders in the market, driving the adoption of solar and battery systems across Australia. Through innovative finance solutions, strategic partnerships, and a commitment to excellence, we’ve established ourselves as a leader in a fast paced, evolving and impactful industry.

 

We are now seeking a leader to take this business to #1 and exceed expectations. This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-performing team, shape the future of renewable energy finance, and make a significant impact in one of the most topical industries of our time. Key Responsibilities:

 

 Lead and execute strategies to drive origination growth within the residential renewable market, primarily through the solar and battery installer channel, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader business objectives.

 Develop and implement the strategic vision for the renewable energy finance business, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and responding to market dynamics, competitor movements and emerging opportunities.

 Identify, build and deepen relationships with key stakeholders across the energy ecosystem including energy retailers, manufacturers, and other intermediaries, to enhance origination opportunities and create value for partners and customers.

 Maintain and enhance partnerships with energy retailers supported by Plenti, including leveraging Virtual Power Plant (VPP) opportunities and exploring innovative ways to drive mutual value.

 Manage and nurture relationships with key funding partners, such as the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, to deliver innovative finance solutions that accelerate solar, battery and electrification adoption in Australian households.

 Oversee a high-performing team of Business Development Managers (BDMs), Relationship Managers (RMs), a Sales Operations Manager, and a Marketing Manager to deliver on the strategic objectives of the renewable energy finance business.

 Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving competitive landscape, emerging finance product innovations, and policy changes, ensuring Plenti’s product roadmap remains best-in-class and responsive to market needs.

 Lead the preparation of private sector and government tender submissions, including developing collateral, preparing pitch presentations, and managing the project implementation.

 Collaborate with internal product teams and external stakeholders to ensure Plenti’s finance products are market-leading, innovative, and aligned with customer and partner needs.

 Act as a key representative of Plenti in the renewable energy finance market, building the company’s reputation as a trusted and innovative partner among installers, energy stakeholders and funding partners.

 

Key Qualifications

 

 Proven experience in the renewable energy, energy finance, or broader financial services sector, with a strong understanding of the residential solar and battery market.

 Demonstrated ability to set and execute business strategies, aligning them with organisational objectives to drive growth and market share.

 Strong experience in managing and developing high-performing sales teams, including Business Development Managers and Relationship Managers, with a focus on achieving ambitious targets.

  Expertise in building and maintaining strategic partnerships with large enterprise clients, energy retailers, or other key stakeholders with the energy ecosystem.

 Exceptional ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including government bodies, funding partners, and enterprise clients, to identify and secure growth opportunities.

 Deep knowledge of market dynamics, competitor landscapes, and product development in the renewable energy or finance sectors, ensuring a forward-looking approach.

 Strong analytical capabilities paired with excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling effective pitch presentation, tender responses and internal and external stakeholder alignment.
