We are seeking a commercially driven, customer-focused and transformational sales leader to join our senior leadership team as Head of Sales, Commercial Vehicle Group.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a national sales function, influence organisational transformation, and drive growth across a significant commercial portfolio within one of Australia's leading aftermarket businesses.

Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager CVG, the Head of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the national sales strategy, leading high-performing sales teams, managing key national customer relationships and driving sustainable revenue growth across the CVG network.

Leading a team of State Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, Business Development Managers and Sales Representatives, you'll play a critical role in building a unified sales culture and strengthening alignment between sales, operations, category and branch network teams.

A key focus of the role will be supporting the continued evolution of the CVG operating model, including the integration of e-Max and the alignment of sales and operational functions to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the national sales strategy for the Commercial Vehicle Group.
  • Partner with Regional Managers, Category, Inventory and Commercial teams to drive growth and market expansion.
  • Lead sales-related transformation initiatives across the CVG network.
  • Support the successful integration and ongoing development of the e-Max business.

Sales Growth & Customer Success

  • Drive profitable revenue growth across all CVG brands and channels.
  • Establish sales KPIs and performance frameworks to optimise results.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key national customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Champion a proactive and customer-focused sales culture.

Leadership & Change Management

  • Lead and develop a geographically dispersed sales team.
  • Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Drive alignment between sales, operations and support functions.
  • Coach and mentor emerging leaders across the business.

Transformation & Collaboration

  • Act as a key member of the CVG leadership team.
  • Help shape the future operating model of the business.
  • Drive collaboration across sales, branch operations, category, inventory and product teams to deliver long-term success.

Qualifications

About You

You are an accomplished sales executive with a proven track record of driving commercial growth, leading large teams and managing complex customer relationships.

You thrive in environments undergoing transformation and have the ability to bring people together around a clear vision and common goals.

You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years' experience leading high-performing sales teams in a national or multi-site environment.
  • Proven success managing large-scale national accounts and strategic customer partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and commercial performance.
  • Experience leading business transformation, sales integration or organisational change initiatives.
  • Strong capability in aligning sales, operations and support functions to achieve business objectives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • A hands-on leadership style with a passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience within the commercial vehicle, transport, heavy vehicle, automotive aftermarket, industrial or related sectors.
