Job Description :

#LI-MV1

Help define the future of social, influencer and earned creativity in Australia.

Havas Red is on an exceptional growth trajectory. Named PR Agency of the Year in 2025 by AdNews, Golden Target Awards and Mumbrella Travel Marketing Awards, we are redefining what modern communications looks like - through earnedfirst creativity, cultural insight and a genuinely integrated approach to PR, social, influencer, content and brand experience.

Now, we’re looking for a national Head of Social & Content to take one of the fastestgrowing and most strategically important parts of our business to the next level.

This is a leadership role with real weight: setting the national vision, building capability, driving commercial growth and positioning Havas Red as the undisputed market leader in social and creatorled communications in Australia.

The Opportunity

Social and Content aren’t just channels anymore. They’re foundational to how brands operate and shape reputation, drive culture, and directly impact commercial outcomes.

Havas Red already operates at the intersection of earned media, social, creators and content through our mergedmedia model, with deep influencer credentials, proprietary tools, creator partnerships and thought leadership in the space.

This role exists to:

  • Unify and elevate our national social and content offering, including its vital role at the heart of earned storytelling within integrated communications agency

  • Build a point of view on where the industry is heading, and lead clients there

  • Convert cultural relevance into measurable business impact

  • Unlock significant new revenue across consumer, corporate, travel, tech, health and brand experience work

What You’ll Do

Set the Vision

  • Own and articulate Havas Red’s national social and content strategy, aligned to our earnedfirst philosophy and broader Havas Village ecosystem

  • Define how social, creators and communities power reputation, attention and growth in an AIaccelerated, creatorled landscape

  • Build distinctive IP, frameworks and thinking that differentiate Havas Red in market

Lead & Build Capability

  • Lead, mentor and grow highperforming social and content teams across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane

  • Shape bestpractice across strategy, creator partnerships, community management, paid social integration, governance, brand safety and measurement

  • Foster a culture of creativity, ambition, inclusivity and commercial accountability

Drive Commercial Growth

  • Own the commercial success of social and content nationally

  • Identify and unlock new revenue streams, offerings and partnerships

  • Play a senior role in new business—shaping propositions, leading pitches and winning ambitious, futurefocused clients

  • Upskill senior client leaders to confidently sell and lead social and creatorled solutions

Partner at the Highest Level

  • Act as a trusted advisor to CMOs, CEOs and Comms leaders

  • Translate cultural insight, platform shifts and creator dynamics into clear business value

  • Collaborate with senior leaders across PR, corporate affairs, content, experiential, data and digital to deliver truly integrated work

Who We’re Looking For

You are a strategic leader, not just a channel specialist.

You’ll likely bring:

  • 12–15+ years’ experience across social, influencer, content or integrated communications

  • A proven track record building and scaling successful social and creator practices

  • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, resourcing, forecasting and growth planning

  • Deep understanding of creator culture, platforms, communities and emerging influence models

  • Confidence operating at Csuite level, both internally and with clients

  • A clear point of view on the future of social, influence, AI, trust and earned attention

You are:

  • Ambitious, opinionated and intellectually curious

  • Creatively fluent but commercially disciplined

  • Energised by growth, change and building something meaningful

  • A natural leader who raises the standard around them

Why Havas Red?

  • Awardwinning, grownup ambition: We back big ideas with real investment and leadership belief

  • Mergedmedia by design: Social and content are core to how we work

  • Cultural intelligence meets commercial reality

  • Access to global Havas Red capability, tools and thinking, combined with real local autonomy and the support of the Havas Village

  • A leadership team that values point of view, bravery and humanity

Your Impact

Within your first 12 months, you will have:

  • Positioned Havas Red as a clear national leader in social, content and influencer

  • Built a distinctive market reputation for creatorled, earnedfirst brand growth

  • Delivered meaningful commercial growth across the practice

  • Created work that shapes culture not just follows it

This is a rare opportunity to define the future of social and influence inside one of Australia’s most awarded and fastestgrowing communications agencies.

If you don’t just want to run social but reimagine it, we should talk.

Contract Type :

Permanent
