A Snapshot

The Associate Director, Workplace Experience you will be responsible for developing and implementing AirTrunk’s workplace strategy across Asia Pacific. This leadership role is central to shaping both the physical workspace and the cultural environment of our office - ensuring we embody our brand, support our people, and foster operational excellence.

You will oversee our corporate real estate strategy, workplace programming, events and hospitality, integrated facilities management, travel and our health and wellbeing initiatives. As a seasoned leader, you will bring extensive experience in workplace operations, corporate real estate, vendor management, travel management, and strategic planning. You will play a crucial role in positioning our workplace as a strategic asset – supporting our business to drive talent attraction and retention and enhancing the overall employee experience.

Your Day to Day

Strategic Leadership:

  • Establish and lead the Workplace function at AirTrunk, including the design and implementation of governance frameworks, operating models, and service delivery standards.
  • Define and execute our corporate real estate strategy across our workplaces covering both hard and soft services aligned with AirTrunk’s brand, culture, and growth ambitions.
  • Lead our corporate travel program, developing policies, governance structures, and commercial models in partnership with our external travel provider.
  • Position the workplace as a strategic enabler of talent attraction, retention, and overall employee experience

Vendor & Partner Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end outsourcing strategy, including RFP development, vendor selection, onboarding, and ongoing service delivery.
  • Develop and manage service agreements, performance metrics, governance frameworks, and KPIs to ensure accountability and high-quality outcomes.
  • Drive seamless collaboration between outsourced partners and internal teams to ensure integrated, efficient, and consistent service delivery

Corporate Real Estate:

  • Support office expansions, renovations, relocations, and capital improvement projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Lead our office leasing across Australia, Japan, and Singapore, ensuring rightsizing for our growth trajectory

Workplace Programs, Events, and Hospitality:

  • Oversee the design and delivery of workplace experience programs, including, internal activations and events, health & wellbeing initiatives, and regular office programming and engagement events
  • Lead workplace managers and front of house concierge teams responsible for the daily operations of our reception, pantry program, and workspace across APAC.

Integrated Facilities Management:

  • Develop and oversee a single, coordinated facilities management approach that consolidates maintenance, security, cleaning, and other essential services, providing a single point of accountability and streamlined operations
  • Manage relationships with multiple service providers through consolidated contracts, ensuring cost efficiency, quality service delivery, and continuous performance improvement.

Travel Program 

  • Develop and manage the end-to-end corporate travel strategy, including policy creation, governance frameworks, and cost-control measures aligned with company objectives and employee needs. 
  • Monitor travel program performance and reporting, including spend analysis, traveller behaviour, policy compliance, and identifying opportunities for efficiency, savings, and enhanced traveller experience. 

ESG & Sustainability:

  • Lead efforts to obtain and maintain recognised certifications (e.g., WELL) for our assets, ensuring compliance with global sustainability standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for energy and water efficiency across all assets and recommend improvements to optimise resource usage.
  • Develop and execute programmes that deliver measurable social benefits, aligning with our corporate responsibility goals and enhancing community engagement.

Requirements:

  • Proven senior leadership experience in workplace strategy and operations across the Asia Pacific region, ideally within a high-growth, multi-site organisation
  • In-depth knowledge of the Asia Pacific corporate real estate and workplace landscape, including market trends and key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success in establishing and leading a workplace function or department from the ground up
  • Strong expertise in both hard and soft services, with proven skills in vendor management and commercial negotiations
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of translating vision into effective operational delivery.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organisational levels
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up or high-growth environment with agility and resilience.
