HR Advisor

Join our Colleague Resources team as an HR Advisor and support employees and leaders across Australia and New Zealand within a global organisation.


This role is ideal for an HR professional with at least two years’ experience who is looking to further develop their generalist HR expertise within a global organisation. As a trusted point of contact for HR advice and support, you will partner with employees and managers across a broad range of people matters while contributing to key HR initiatives and continuous process improvements.


Working closely with the wider HR team, you'll gain exposure to all stages of the employee lifecycle, employee relations, HR operations, compliance activities, and strategic HR projects. This is an excellent opportunity to build your advisory skills and continue progressing your HR career.


What You'll Be Responsible For

 

  • Provide timely and practical HR advice and support to employees and leaders across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Manage HR enquiries through ServiceNow, ensuring a high standard of customer service and issue resolution.
  • Support the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, employee changes, performance matters and offboarding.
  • Prepare employment contracts, contract variations and HR documentation in line with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Maintain employee records and HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.
  • Partner with managers on policy interpretation, employee relations matters and workplace concerns, escalating complex issues where required.
  • Contribute to HR projects, compliance activities, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the employee experience.

About You

 

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a HR Advisor, HR Coordinator, HR Officer or similar HR role.
  • Proactive, organised and solutions-focused, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting employees and managers across the employee lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of HR administration, employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using HR systems such as Workday and ServiceNow or similar platforms, preferred but not essential.
  • Proactive, organised and solutions-focused, with a strong attention to detail.

Working Arrangements

 

  • Full-time permanent position.
  • Sydney CBD location.
  • Hybrid working arrangement with the flexibility to work from home up to 4 days per week following onboarding and training.
