About the Role 

This is a high-impact, enterprise leadership role. As HR Director, you will act as a strategic partner to the Country Chief Executive (CCE) and a key member of both the Country Leadership Team and APAC HR Leadership Team. You will lead the people agenda for a workforce of approximately 550 employees across Australia, driving organisational performance, transformation, and culture in alignment with global strategy, while ensuring strong local relevance. 

Role Requirements 

  • Proven senior HR leadership experience within large, global, matrixed organisations, ideally in B2B or technology environments  

  • Strong track record of partnering with executive stakeholders, including CEOs and senior leadership teams  

  • Demonstrated experience leading transformation, organisational change, and HR capability building  

  • Deep knowledge of Australian employment law, employee relations, and union environments  

  • Experience managing complex HR landscapes, balancing global strategy with local execution  

  • Exposure to M&A, including organisational integration and change leadership  

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align people strategy to business outcomes  

  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills at executive level  

  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing HR teams across multiple disciplines  

  • High resilience and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, complexity, and fast-paced environments  

  • Degree in HR, Business, Legal, or related field; postgraduate qualifications preferred 

Role Responsibilities 

  • Partner with the CCE and senior leadership team to drive business performance through a commercially aligned people strategy 

  • Build and lead a unified, high-performing HR function across Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, L&D, Payroll, and Communications 

  • Translate global HR strategy into locally relevant, impactful execution within a complex matrix environment 

  • Strengthen leadership capability, succession planning, and talent pipelines across the organisation 

  • Champion a high-performance, inclusive culture that drives engagement and business outcomes 

  • Provide oversight and leadership on employee relations, including unions, compliance, and risk management within Australian labour frameworks 

  • Lead people aspects of M&A activity, including integration of acquired businesses into the local and global structure 

  • Leverage HR systems (e.g., Workday) and data insights to drive efficiency, governance, and decision-making
