Job Description

The HR Specialist, know internally as People Operations Specialist collaborates closely with our People Operations team to provide expert HR advice to the business, oversee employee relations, contribute to remuneration and benefits initiatives, and enhance our company's work health and safety practices, all with the aim of fostering an exceptional employee experience and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities 

  • Support and manage employee relations issues and advise on fair employment practices.
  • Perform salary benchmarking to help advise leaders, ensuring internal fairness & pay parity, as well as a competitive offer in the market.
  • Uplift WHS/OHS capabilities, including policy reviews, developing compliant training content and information, and monitoring the risk registry.
  • Drive people related projects and activities, such as WGEA reporting and remuneration review processes.
  • Design and operationalise people policies, guides, and processes to reflect market best practice and legislative requirements and ensure they grow as we do. 
  • Collaborate to produce and deliver key monthly and quarterly reports, as well as ad-hoc reports.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure effective payroll integration, payroll processing and effective maintenance of our core people data.
  • Ongoing management of performance, remuneration and benefits frameworks, review processes and programs. 
  • Manage the implementation, optimisation, and integration of our people systems.
  • Provide support across the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding/ inboarding/offboarding, experience, performance, remuneration, retention, and enabling the delivery of the people strategies.
  • Support the team to deliver effective and timely people, culture and employment relations advice to people leaders and team members regarding people policies, procedures, legislative guidelines, and employee relations issues.
  • Collaborate to ensure the effective implementation of the HRIS and people platforms and automation of people processes to deliver operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of employment law in the APAC region
  • Strong HR Generalist working experience across the employee lifecycle in a growing and scaling businesses 
  • Experience in managing annual remuneration and performance review processes, creating and maintaining fit for purpose remuneration frameworks, including collation and analysis of data. Experience with Excel and driving such projects.
  • Strong change management and ER skills with the ability to problem solve combining a commercial, human, financial, and risk lens.
  • Experience in a fast moving and complex organisation, especially where the HR function is still developing.
  • Experience and ability to thrive in a fast-moving, agile, and fluid environment requiring you to synthesise lots of complex information and to come up with solutions with tangible impact 
  • Comfortable using AI tools 
  • Embeds and supports a collaborative, innovative and values-based culture
  • Experience in partnering with operations, finance, legal & compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
