Help keep access secure, compliant and running smoothly across one of Australia’s largest healthcare organisations.

This position is open to applicants in QLD, NSW and VIC.

Job Description

At Ramsay Health Care, technology plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. We’re looking for an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Operations Analyst to join our Cyber Security team and help ensure our people have the right access to the right systems, at the right time.

Reporting to the Head of Identity and Access Management, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Ramsay Australia’s digital IAM services, working closely with our IAM Engineering and Cyber Security teams.

What you’ll do

This is a hands-on operational role where you’ll help manage the full lifecycle of user identities and access across the organisation.

Manage user identity lifecycles, including provisioning, de-provisioning and access modifications

  • Fulfil IAM access requests from stakeholders in line with established business rules and controls
  • Conduct access reviews and audits to support security and compliance requirements
  • Investigate and resolve access-related issues within agreed service levels
  • Monitor and respond to IAM-related security incidents and unauthorised access attempts
  • Maintain IAM systems and configurations in accordance with change management processes and engineering guidance
  • Work with internal and external teams to troubleshoot and resolve IAM incidents
  • Maintain clear documentation, reporting and operational processes
  • Support the adoption and integration of IAM technologies and evolving industry best practice

Please note: there is a rare, but potential need to participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster.

A key part of the role will be balancing the needs of the business with our Cyber Security requirements, ensuring access is practical for our people while maintaining strong security and compliance controls.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have 2–3+ years’ experience in Identity and Access Management, particularly across user lifecycle management and onboarding/offboarding.

We’re looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of IAM principles including least privilege, privileged access management, authentication, authorisation and access control lifecycles
  • Experience working within an IT Service Management / ITIL environment
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based IAM platforms such as Okta, Azure AD, CyberArk and on-prem AD/ARS
  • Strong problem-solving and incident management skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • An understanding of the importance of security, compliance and risk in a large organisation

Experience with frameworks and regulations such as NIST, Essential Eight, Privacy and AHPRA would be advantageous, as would knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

A degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline is also desirable.
