Role Summary and Impact

The Implementation & Activation team is responsible for delivering best-in-class implementation planning and activation for clients. Our team members are fully embedded within our EssenceMediacom client teams and accountable to the clients they work on. The scope covers the Implementation Planning and Activation of all media channels and touchpoints, with a focus on delivering connected, audience-first client outputs. We navigate the ever-changing media landscape efficiently and effectively, fuelling growth for the brands we work with through transparency, accountability, and leveraging exceptional media relationships.

As an Implementation & Activation Manager, you play a critical role in overseeing the activation of client campaigns, ensuring consistent, best-in-class delivery. You are responsible for shaping effective, efficient, creative, and future-facing implementation plans and media schedules that drive business growth for our clients. You will supervise elements of team workload, foster effective collaboration, and work closely with your manager to deliver unparalleled service, achieve client targets, and produce best-in-class solutions.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the activation of client campaigns, ensuring consistent, best-in-class delivery.
  • Develop effective, efficient, creative, and future-facing implementation plans and media schedules for clients.
  • Manage elements of team workload, ensuring client demands are met and fostering effective collaboration.
  • Support your manager in delivering unparalleled service and achieving client targets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution across all media channels and touchpoints (e.g., Social, Search, Programmatic, E-Comm, traditional channels).
  • Maintain strong relationships with publishers, representing the agency appropriately and ensuring high-quality campaign delivery.
  • Contribute to effective collaboration between team members and key stakeholders.
  • Utilize data, technology, and automation to enhance campaign execution and amplification.
  • Stay up-to-date with the ever-changing media landscape to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Assist in identifying and articulating the benefits of GroupM proprietary products and services to clients.
  • Apply well-developed negotiation and implementation planning skills to client campaigns.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in media activation and implementation, including knowledge of offline/traditional channels (e.g., TV, OOH, Radio).
  • Relevant technical and people leadership experience.
  • Strong, up-to-date media landscape knowledge, confidently articulating macro consumer trends and their challenges/opportunities.

  • Problem-solving mentality.
  • Clear communicator with strong presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and implementation planning skills.
