Be part of the future of smart lighting with Signify. Working within our Dynalite business, in a newly created role as Industrial Engineering Project Lead, based at our brand new office & manufacturing/warehouse facility in Moorebank, you will shape how innovative new products are brought to life in a cutting-edge digital manufacturing environment, ensuring quality, efficiency, and impact from day one.
You will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of industrial activities across new product introduction (NPI, ETO) and lifecycle management (LCM), ensuring products are delivered on schedule and within quality and cost targets. In addition, you will:
- Act as the operations representative across Project, Product Management, and R&D teams, supporting alignment between design and manufacturing
- Support and coordinate industrialisation activities for new product introductions, engineering builds, and pilot manufacturing through to full production release (local and global)
- Contribute to Design for Manufacture (DfX) and PFMEA activities across product development and release phases
- Assist in setting and monitoring manufacturing cost targets (process time, BOM), working closely with Production, Process Engineering, and Operations
- Support the development and implementation of test strategies with cross-functional teams
- Analyse manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN methodologies and problem-solving tools
- Support product and process transfers, ensuring production readiness and minimal disruption
- Collaborate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to support BOM and component management for trials and production
- Contribute to creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and BOMs within MRP systems (e.g. EPICOR, SAP)
- Provide technical support during production startup and assist in resolving manufacturing issues

- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or an equivalent tertiary education.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a relevant business or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and production systems
- Exposure to electronics manufacturing (EMS or OEM), PCBA assembly, or similar environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with MRP systems and production BOM structures
- Understanding of LEAN principles and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean / Six Sigma exposure beneficial)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple projects in a dynamic environment
