  • Challenge risk assessments, control effectiveness, remediation plans and risk acceptance decisions, ensuring they align with ING's risk appetite and regulatory obligations.
  • Monitor emerging risks, industry developments and regulatory changes, bringing valuable insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Provide oversight of technology, cyber security, data management and AI-related risks across the organisation.
  • Lead thematic reviews, deep dives and assurance activities to assess risk exposure and strengthen controls.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the business, helping foster a proactive and risk-aware culture.

What we’re looking for….

  • Experience in Technology Risk, Cyber Risk, Information Security, Operational Risk, Audit, Compliance or Risk Management within banking or financial services.
  • A strong understanding of technology and data risk, cyber security, operational resilience, and risk governance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of key regulatory requirements including CPS 220, CPS 230, CPS 234, and broader operational resilience and third-party risk obligations.
  • The confidence and credibility to influence senior stakeholders and provide constructive challenge when it matters most.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex issues and provide practical, business-focused solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across technology, risk and business teams.
  • An interest in emerging technologies and evolving risk areas, including AI, cyber threats and digital transformation.
  • Relevant qualifications in technology, business, risk or finance, with certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC or similar highly regarded.

What’s in it for you?

  • Discounted ING Health Insurance.
  • An additional Rest Day to support your wellbeing.
  • An IMPACT Day to volunteer on approved sustainability activity.
