The Global Virtual Sales (GVS) organization is one of Cisco's fastest-growing sales teams and a key driver of customer growth. Bringing together talented sales professionals across multiple markets and customer segments, GVS helps organizations realize value from Cisco's full technology portfolio through innovative, scalable, and customer-centric sales motions.

This role sits at the forefront of new business creation. It's a role for builders and hunters who enjoy uncovering opportunities, opening doors, and bringing new customers into the Cisco ecosystem. Working across Cisco's entire portfolio, you'll collaborate with partners, Solutions Engineers, and specialists to turn ideas into opportunities and opportunities into customers.

Your Impact

As an Inside Account Executive, Strategic Acquisition, you'll be responsible for creating and winning new business opportunities across Australia, identifying untapped prospects and bringing net-new customers into the Cisco ecosystem.

You will:

  • Develop and execute innovative acquisition strategies to drive net-new customer growth.
  • Create pipeline through creative prospecting, strategic outreach, and relationship-building activities.
  • Identify emerging businesses, growth markets, and greenfield opportunities through creative prospecting and strategic outreach.
  • Own opportunities through the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement through to close.
  • Partner with Cisco specialists, Solutions Engineers, and channel partners to accelerate customer outcomes.
  • Leverage Cisco's AI-powered sales tools, technology stack, and market insights to scale customer engagement and maximize impact.
  • Drive quota attainment through strong pipeline development, forecasting discipline, and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience in technology sales, business development, acquisition sales, or account executive roles.
  • Proven success generating pipeline and winning new business through prospecting and customer engagement.
  • Experience managing opportunities through the full sales cycle, from discovery through to close.
  • Consistent track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hunter, acquisition, business development, startup, or high-growth sales environment with a strong focus on net-new logo acquisition.
  • Demonstrated ability to build opportunities from scratch and develop creative routes to market.
  • Experience selling technology solutions including networking, security, cloud, SaaS, collaboration, or AI-related solutions.
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Experience leveraging digital sales tools, AI-enabled selling capabilities, and data-driven prospecting techniques.
