We’re looking for an Inside Account Executive to join one of MongoDB’s most strategic account teams within our POD ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone early in their enterprise sales career who is highly coachable, eager to learn, and motivated to develop into a future Account Executive.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Account Executives, Solution Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and Partners to help drive growth and expansion within a large strategic customer environment. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to complex enterprise sales cycles, executive engagement, modern application development, AI transformation initiatives, and some of the most innovative organisations in the region.

Experience within retail or large enterprise environments is a plus, but not essential. What matters most is curiosity, work ethic, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to learn and grow within a high-performing sales team.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Sydney for our hybrid working model.

Responsibilities
  • Support the broader account team in driving expansion opportunities across strategic enterprise customers
  • Prospect into new business units, teams, and stakeholders within assigned accounts
  • Build relationships with developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders
  • Partner closely with experienced Account Executives to learn enterprise sales methodologies and account planning
  • Work collaboratively with Solution Architects, Customer Success, SDRs, Marketing, and Partners to execute coordinated account strategies
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting within Salesforce
  • Participate in customer meetings, discovery sessions, workshops, and executive engagements
  • Develop strong understanding of MongoDB’s platform, modernisation strategies, and AI-related use cases
  • Contribute to pipeline generation activities including outbound prospecting, account mapping, event follow-up, and opportunity qualification
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning and development
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, SDR/BDR, or customer-facing technology roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly coachable with a willingness to learn from experienced enterprise sales leaders
  • Motivated, curious, and eager to build a long-term career in technology sales
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Interest in cloud, data, AI, or modern application development technologies
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools is beneficial
  • Retail industry exposure is a plus but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Your non-negotiables should be your first couple of bullets and your nice to haves lower
