What will you be doing?  

 

You will work in partnership with leading FMCG manufacturers and retailers, helping them solve complex business challenges through data, shopper insights and strategic consulting.

Leveraging Circana's market-leading datasets, you'll uncover opportunities for growth, identify emerging market trends and translate analysis into compelling stories and actionable recommendations. Acting as a trusted adviser, you'll help clients make better decisions across category, brand, shopper and commercial strategies.

You will manage end-to-end insight projects as part of ongoing client partnerships, delivering measurable value and business impact.

 

 

Job Responsibilities 

Data Mining, Analysis & Advice 

  •  Partner with FMCG clients to understand key business challenges and translate them into insight-led analytical projects.
  • Utilise Circana's scan, shopper and retail measurement datasets to uncover growth opportunities and diagnose business performance issues.
  • Connect multiple data sources to develop actionable recommendations, delivering clear "so what?" and "now what?" outcomes for clients.
  • Apply category, shopper and consumer insights to answer strategic business questions and influence decision making.
  • Lead insight presentations and storytelling sessions that simplify complex data and inspire action.
  • Challenge conventional thinking and bring a consultative approach to solving client business problems.
  • Work closely with clients to define objectives, manage project timelines and deliver successful outcomes.

 

Client Management 

     

    • Build trusted adviser relationships with key stakeholders across FMCG manufacturers and retail partners.
    • Own and deliver account plans that drive client success, retention and growth.
    • Understand client priorities, category challenges and commercial objectives to ensure insight programs remain relevant and valuable.
    • Lead ongoing engagement activity and ensure deliverables are executed to a high standard.
    • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.

     

    Consultative Selling  

       

      • Identify opportunities where additional insights, analytics or consulting solutions can help clients achieve their business objectives.
      • Leverage Circana's thought leadership, data assets and subject matter expertise to create meaningful client value.
      • Partner with clients to uncover unmet needs and develop tailored solutions.
      • Contribute to account growth through trusted relationships, commercial thinking and insight-led recommendations.
      • Support proposal development and client presentations that demonstrate the value of Circana's capabilities.

      Commercial Acumen 

        • Take ownership of account performance, including contract renewals, revenue growth and client retention.
        • Manage commercial processes including quotes, forecasting, invoicing and project tracking.
        • Drive growth within existing accounts through proactive identification of business opportunities.
        • Balance commercial outcomes with a strong focus on client success and long-term partnerships.

         

        People Leadership 

        •  Lead by example and champion Circana's values and culture.
        • Coach and mentor analysts and junior consultants to strengthen their analytical, consulting and storytelling capabilities.
        • Support performance, development planning and career growth for direct reports.
        • Encourage collaboration across client teams and internal functions to deliver exceptional outcomes.
        • Foster a high-performing, inclusive and supportive team environment.

         

        Requirements 

          We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who bring a blend of FMCG industry experience, analytical capability and client-facing consulting skills.
           
          Essential

           

           

          • 5+ years' experience in FMCG, Shopper Insights, Category Management, Consumer Insights, Retail Analytics, Revenue Growth Management or Data & Insights Consulting.
          • Strong experience working with scan data, shopper panel data, retailer data or syndicated market measurement datasets.
          • Ability to turn complex data into actionable business recommendations and commercially relevant insights.
          • Experience presenting insights and influencing stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
          • Strong client relationship management and consulting skills.
          • Commercial mindset with experience identifying growth opportunities and delivering client value.
          • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

          Highly Regarded

           

          • Experience using Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ, Quantium, Dunnhumby or similar FMCG data platforms.
          • Category Management, Shopper Marketing or Consumer Insights experience within an FMCG manufacturer or retailer.
          • Previous experience managing and developing team members.
