About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our Retail Training team and support a major retail transformation program.

Reporting to the Retail Training Program Lead, you will design engaging, learner-focused training solutions that support the adoption of new systems, processes and ways of working. Partnering with SMEs, business leaders and project teams, you'll translate complex information into practical learning experiences across digital, virtual and face-to-face channels.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging learning solutions aligned with adult learning principles and business requirements.
  • Create digital learning content using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360 and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Develop learning resources including e-learning modules, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, quick reference guides, assessments and multimedia content.
  • Conduct learning needs analyses to identify capability gaps and learning requirements.
  • Partner with SMEs and stakeholders to gather content and validate learning materials.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to define learning requirements and learning strategies.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Instructional Designer, Learning Designer or Learning Specialist.
  • Strong experience designing digital, virtual and face-to-face learning programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience using learning authoring tools such as Articulate, InDesign and the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Excellent written communication and content development capability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
