Interim Financial Controller (contract until March 2027)

THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance operations on a fixed-term contract through to 31 March 2027. Reporting to the CFO and leading a team of three, you'll keep the team, systems and processes across Financial Accounting, AP, AR, Payroll and Tax running and optimised throughout the contract period. It's a hands-on leadership role spanning the full finance function — financial accounting, management accounting, treasury, AR, AP and payroll — ideal for a qualified accountant who can step in with minimal onboarding and own the integrity of our reporting and controls from the outset.

DAY TO DAY

• Own the end-to-end month-end close, delivering revenue in three days and P&L in five
• Lead, mentor and develop a finance team of three
• Maintain a strong control environment and ensure compliance across financial reporting, tax and treasury
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits as the main point of contact for auditors
• Manage equity and stock-option administration
• Keep the team, systems and processes across Financial Accounting, AP, AR, Payroll and Tax optimised
• Partner with the CFO on reporting, governance and ad hoc projects
  

WHAT YOU BRING

• A professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA or ACCA)
• Demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller leading and mentoring a finance team
• End-to-end ownership of the month-end close
• Strong technical breadth across financial reporting, tax, treasury and audit
• Experience coordinating internal and external audits as the auditors' main contact
• A standalone operator who can deliver in a contract/interim setting with minimal onboarding
• Project management capability; NetSuite experience an asset but not essential
