Job Description

The Intern Engineer will develop solid engineering knowledge by assisting with assignments in engineering projects. You will work under the supervision of senior engineers to help implement engineered solutions in the Industrial Automation, Process Control, IT/OT, Information Solutions, Industrial Networks and Lead Systems disciplines. You will also work in a team environment to deploy these solutions to multiple industries served by Rockwell Automation in the South Pacific region.

You will collaborate with experienced team members, engage with customers, and help maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. You will report to a business lead based in Australia.

  • Partner with senior engineers in a design office, using engineering tools, for designing project specifications and documentation.
  • Partner with senior engineers and technicians to develop and test project specific PLC and SCADA software.
  • Partner with Experienced field service engineers to perform hands-on testing and configuration of automation hardware and variable speed drive systems.
  • You will partner with application engineers to provide support in the development of proposals.
  • You will perform any other relevant responsibilities as and when assigned by immediate Supervisor.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Graduated or pursuing a degree (3rd year student or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent
  • Proficient in MS software

Some experience with industrial automation equipment (PLCs, SCADA, VSDs) will be advantageous.
