Why this is an exciting opportunity


We're hiring an Investment Administration Officer for a 6-month secondment opportunity. Play a key role in supporting the smooth and accurate processing of investment operations across our growing wealth technology business. Working within our Investment Operations team, you'll be responsible for a variety of cash and rebate-related activities that directly impact the experience of our advisers and clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with financial data, and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. You'll collaborate with a range of internal stakeholders and external partners while gaining valuable exposure to investment administration, cash management, and platform operations. What you’ll be doing


  • Process and reconcile cash transactions, including direct debits, electronic fund transfers and BPAY payments.
  • Allocate and investigate cash receipts, including SuperStream contributions and rollovers.
  • Identify, investigate and resolve unknown deposits and unclaimed monies.
  • Process, validate and administer rebate payments from fund managers and portfolio providers.
  • Follow up on discrepancies between calculated and paid rebate amounts.
  • Maintain rebate and cash movement records within internal administration systems.
  • Liaise with fund managers, portfolio providers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment and operational queries.
  • Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with compliance requirements, procedures and service standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

What you bring

Experience & Skills


  • 1-2 years' experience in financial services or completion of a relevant qualification.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Australian banking and payment processing practices.
  • Understanding of financial products and investment administration processes.
  • Experience working with cash operations, reconciliations or payment processing will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to learn and grow.
