Hastings Deering, together with Sime, is seeking an IT Change and Transition Coordinator to join our team. Based at either Archerfield or South Brisbane, this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change across our business.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating IT change and transition activities, ensuring resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations are managed effectively.
You’ll play a key part in driving continual improvement, delivering service communications, and aligning IT services with business objectives and strategic goals.
What you’ll do:
- Support ITIL-based processes (incident, problem, change, and request management) within the ITSM platform.
- Lead and coordinate daily change management activities to minimise risk and disruption.
- Act as the primary contact between IT and business units for service change and transition communications.
- Manage asset change processes, ensuring compliance and lifecycle alignment.
- Coordinate transition-to-support activities and operational handovers.
- Drive configuration and deployment of ITSM enhancements to improve service delivery.
- Provide backup support during P1 incidents and facilitate post-incident reviews.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate go-lives with minimal disruption.
- Serve as a strategic liaison between business and IT to align operational changes with organisational priorities.

About You
A successful teammate will have experience in:
- Previous experience in IT change, transition, or service management.
- Working knowledge of ITIL practices and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow experience highly regarded).
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and support critical incidents when required.
- A collaborative, proactive approach to working with both technical teams and business units.
