IT Help Desk Support Analyst – Sydney CBD

Location: Sydney CBD, NSW (World Square)
Company: BGIS – Corporate Services

Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 + Superannuation

Purpose of the Role

BGIS is seeking an IT Help Desk Support Analyst to join our friendly and collaborative IT Services team based in our Sydney CBD office. Reporting to the IT Services team, you will provide first-line technical support to employees across the business, helping resolve day-to-day IT issues while delivering an outstanding customer experience. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an IT graduate or someone early in their IT career who enjoys helping people, learning new technologies and building practical experience in a supportive environment. You'll be part of a close-knit team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous learning. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level IT support via phone, email and service desk requests.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD and network connectivity issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions and IT asset records.
  • Configure, deploy and maintain laptops, monitors and other IT equipment.
  • Log, prioritise and resolve support requests within agreed service levels.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the IT knowledge base.
  • Work collaboratively with other IT specialists to resolve more complex technical issues.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and professionally to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Education, Experience & Skills

Essential

  • Recent qualification or studies in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or a related discipline, or experience in an IT Help Desk or technical support role.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in technology and eagerness to continue learning.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and networking concepts.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a positive and professional approach.

Desirable

  • Experience using IT service desk or ticketing systems.
  • Exposure to supporting enterprise IT environments.
  • Knowledge of Azure Active Directory.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+ or ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience configuring desktop hardware and peripherals.

Workplace Flexibility

This role is based full-time from our modern Sydney CBD office at World Square, conveniently located close to public transport. As this position provides hands-on support to our business, 100% office attendance is required.
