Job Description

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Iteration Manager Business Analyst (“IMBA”) to join our Motoring & Membership Technology team at the NRMA on a 12-month maximum term contract.  In this role you will be responsible for facilitating, coordinating and delivering programs including delivering on business case objectives, business analysis, team velocity, project reporting, change management and project communication. This role will work closely with all business stakeholders and report to the Technology Delivery Domain.

This opportunity offers a hybrid work arrangement across our Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney CBD offices and working from home, as agreed and required for the role.

What You'll Do

In this role you will deliver complex and strategic programs of work with a focus on:

  • Prepare project documents whereby scope, objectives, risks, assumptions, resources level, roles and responsibilities, schedules and deliverables are identified and defined
  • Create the foundations and platforms required for BA / business owner collaboration and delivery team estimations on sound User Story capture and requirements
  • Manage Project initiation, analysis, planning, control, variation, measurement, reporting and closure
  • Report on project status to stakeholders, customers and project team as required
  • Resolve project escalated issues and project change management
  • Managing conflicting priorities as well as tracking team velocity and capacity
  • Collaboration and negotiation with a broad range of product owners as well as technical and business stakeholders, including senior leaders, to achieve optimal delivery in terms of cost, speed-to-market and business outcomes
  • Partner with 3rd party delivery vendors to manage delivery
  • Define and maintain a continuous improvement philosophy for your domain which support both technology and business strategy, including:
    • Delivering an exceptional customer experience
    • Driving simplicity and efficiency
    • Highly available, stable and scalable services
  • Prepare project status reports to track forecast and actuals on projects, highlighting financial health, and adherence to budgets
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, meet-ups and relevant case studies.

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Agile, Scrum, SAFe, PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project delivery certification would be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience delivering complex business and technology programs in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, competing priorities, and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Extensive experience engaging and influencing senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong project management experience across the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, delivery, governance, reporting, risk management, and closure.
  • Experience managing team capacity, delivery velocity, dependencies, risks, and issues to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Strong business analysis capability, including discovery workshops, requirements gathering, process mapping, user story development, solution design support, stakeholder facilitation and business process improvement.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and negotiate with both technical and business teams to achieve optimal delivery outcomes.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and delivery partners.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting budget forecasting, financial management, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, customer outcomes, and fostering high-performing, engaged teams.
