Job description

Meet our Team

Hitachi Digital Services Japan, which is the HDS’s Japan country office, is strengthening its offshore engineering services leveraging development centers in Vietnam and India, building a global delivery structure that combines high quality and cost competitiveness.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as a technical bridge between/project manager Japanese clients and engineering teams, communicating complex topics clearly in Japanese.

  • Lead a small team (5-7 members), ensuring high-quality delivery and team alignment.

  • Manage technical requirements, clarify specifications, and align business processes with stakeholders.

  • Drive maintenance and improvement activities, including issue investigation and system enhancements.

  • Prepare technical documents and respond effectively to client inquiries.

  • Combine BrSE and project management responsibilities to ensure smooth delivery and communication.

  • Work onsite in Yokohama, Japan for long-term assignments.

What you bring to the team

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or related technical discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience as a BrSE and/or Project Manager in software development.

  • Solid understanding of Java full-stack development and AWS.

  • Proven experience leading teams and managing client-facing projects.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working onsite in Japan or with Japanese enterprise clients.

  • Japanese: Business/native level.

  • English: Business level.

  • Vietnamese: Business level for internal coordination.
