About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and eager Junior Associate to join our Insurance Product team. In this role, you will be a key support pillar, helping to manage the day-to-day operations of our insurance products while learning the ropes of a fast-paced, Series E Insurtech. You will work closely with senior leaders to ensure our workflows, reporting, and partner requests are handled with precision and speed. 

As a Junior Associate, you will support our Insurance Product Team in the development and management of products. You will be the engine room of the team, ensuring that coverage analysis, pricing documentation, and regulatory filings are executed perfectly. You will learn how to navigate insurer relationships and strategic conversations by assisting senior leaders in their daily interactions.

We ideally need someone who can commit to a minimum of 3-4 days a week and for a dedicated period of at least 8-12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Support critical processes and manage incident documentation to ensure swift resolution.

  • Assurance & Compliance: Assist in assurance/audit reviews and provide critical support for complaints and claims review/approval processes.

  • Governance & Workflow: Maintain workflow and prioritisation governance to keep the team running efficiently.

  • Reporting & Data: Generate and distribute regular reports and handle ad hoc partner requests with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Executive Support: Assist in board preparation and provide project coordination and administration for key initiatives.

Skills & Experience:

What you will bring

  • Recent graduate or current final year student in a relevant field (Actuarial Science, Business, Law, Finance, etc.).

  • Basic understanding of APIs and a high level of proficiency in Google Workspace or similar tools.

  • Proven track record of taking initiative, whether in internships, university clubs, or personal projects.

  • Assisting in the management of day-to-day product requirements with underwriters, including content reviews, coverage requests and pricing

  • Supporting the insurance team in monitoring regulatory developments across product lines

  • Support the partnership team by helping prepare proposals and basic financial modeling.

  • Contribute to performance reporting and data analysis to help identify growth opportunities

  • Strong interest in learning product design and what makes a proposition successful.

  • You understand that in insurance, the small details in documentation and reporting matter.

  • You can juggle multiple ad hoc requests and project coordination tasks without breaking a sweat.

  • You are excited by the challenge of a fast-moving startup and are eager to learn the intricacies of an insurtech.

  • Ability to communicate ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing

  • Problem solving and advocating for customer solutions

  • Proven ability to foster and develop relationships with key external and internal stakeholders

  • You have the initiative to find better ways of doing things, but the discipline to follow established compliance and governance processes to the letter.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to independently take initiative on projects 

  • Ability to adapt quickly to a start-up pace environment and culture
