What You’ll Do

  • Model and Predict Failures: Build statistical and machine learning models to forecast hardware failures and detect early warning signals.

  • Analyse Hardware Performance: Identify trends, root causes, and performance patterns across collars, towers, and batteries using large-scale operational data.

  • Inform Decision-Making: Provide the Fleet Operations team with dashboards, insights, and tools that support prioritisation and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Feed key findings and metrics to the Hardware Design, Engineering, and Product teams to inform future hardware iterations.

  • Experimentation: Run statistical tests to validate hypotheses around environmental impacts, manufacturing changes, and firmware updates.

  • Reporting and Communication: Create clear, actionable reports and visualisations that communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About You

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Science, or similar field

  • Strong Python skills

  • Experience with SQL

  • knowledge of statistical modelling and hypothesis testing

  • Basic understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts

  • Data visualisation and communication‚ able to translate a complex analysis into a clear finding for a non-technical audience

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex insights clearly.
