Our brands, Collecting Cars and Watch Collecting, are already leading the pack, but we're just getting started. We're expanding, and we're looking for a Junior Consignment Specialist to join us in Sydney.

You’ll be joining a growing, diverse team that’s currently disrupting the traditional way vehicles are auctioned. You’ll help foster relationships and deliver excellent outcomes with both sellers and collectors locally and internationally, developing long-lasting partnerships, whilst becoming part of the fabric of a fast-moving, innovative company.

The Mission:

As a Junior Consignment Specialist, you will be at the heart of this journey. Working alongside our Consignment Specialists, you will deliver a seamless, enjoyable experience for our sellers. This role demands a highly motivated individual with a passion for cars of all genres and eras, ready to thrive in a fast-paced, automotive-focused environment.

The Gearbox:

  • Communicate effectively and assist the Consignment team with the end-to-end activities from pre-sales through to post sales, to ensure excellent levels of engagement and service throughout the process.
  • Research value of collectable cars, analysing industry trends and making an informed decision on market trends. Share informed decisions and insights on specific vehicles with the broader team.
  • On hand to respond to customer or colleague enquiries in a timely and efficient manner ensuring that sales administration and customer service activities run smoothly.
  • Use Salesforce to convert prospects into Collecting Cars customers.
  • Identify any areas of improvement in the business’ marketing strategies, identifying opportunities and understanding the market and competitive environment.
  • Maintain your technical knowledge by reviewing publications and establishing personal networks.
  • Being an ambassador for the business and making initial calls to introduce sellers to the process of selling with Collecting Cars.
  • Assist Consignment team with pricing and reserve for cars.
  • Working with others to arrange photography of cars.
  • Managing deals in Salesforce with activities assigned to track the car through the process, and make sure specific tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Arranging requested viewings.
  • Assigning incoming opportunities within the wider consignments team.
  • Research competitors' pricing and market success, as well as monitor cars advertised on other platforms, then send these through to Consignment staff to make outbound calls.

The Specs (What We'll Need From You):

  • A degree or similar qualification in a complementary practice area such as business management or marketing is desirable. If you do not have a degree or similar formal qualification to an equivalent level, you must be able to demonstrate that you have gained similar experience and qualification through on-the-job training and experience.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Outstanding organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A confident and highly motivated individual.
  • Keen interest in cars of all genres and eras.
  • Knowledge and experience of how the collector car market operates.
  • Impeccable communication skills with the ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively.
  • Strong business development skills.
  • A self-starter who has the ability to work independently.
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced rapidly growing business.

The Pit Stop:

Bligh Street, Sydney. You'll be predominantly based here, our Australian HQ. You'll need full Australian working rights for this position (sorry, we're unable to provide sponsorship for this role).

The Fuel:

  • 25 days holiday (plus an additional day each year after 2 years tenure).
  • Fast-paced, high energy sales team.
  • Learn a lot of negotiation and sales skills.
  • The thrill of the auctions and chasing down deals.
  • Interacting with high value customers and talking about cars.
  • The opportunity to attend amazing automotive and watch events.

The Finish Line:

If you're passionate about cars and culture, and you have the ambition to support buyers and sellers across Australia, then we want you in the driver's seat. Buckle up and join us on this exhilarating ride.
