The Key Account Associate role is expected to make an impact by distributing AMP’s wealth management products through the Australian market. This role is responsible for supporting the Key Account Managers to build deep and profitable head office (HO) relationships with large licensees and ensure all Education Partnership entitlements are maximised by developing a deep understanding of their value drivers and growth strategy and in turn work with the broader Wealth Distribution team to deliver cash flows and account growth targets This role will also work closely with asset consultant partners.

How you’ll make an impact

In this role, you will: 

  • Support the Head of Strategic Growth and Key Account Managers in the execution of the team and Key Account strategy
  • Work with the Key Account Managers and Marketing to ensure delivery of all partnership entitlements for Key Account partners including newsletter content, webinars and events 
  • In consultation with the Key Account Managers ensure that we are maximising our entitlements with education partners and providing appropriate content for newsletters
  • Monitor execution of any post-event activity to ensure appropriate execution of follow up
  • Ensure the activity plans for the Key Accounts are maintained and kept up to date 
  • Act as a point of liaison between internal teams and Key Accounts
  • Act as a point of contact for administrative requests for Key Account partners
  • Coordinate the development of responses to tender requests when required from potential new clients
  • Ensuring that advisers within Key Accounts are appropriately allocated to a BDM or NBM resource, to support the execution of account plans and sales campaigns
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of SMA solutions to asset consultants and ensure delivery of agreed timeframes between internal teams and asset consultants
  • Escalate any Key Account issues and/or complaints 
  • Assist in the project management of key account-led sales campaigns across Wealth Distribution
  • Actively contribute to high NPS 

What you will bring to the team

Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role: 

  • Previous 5+ years’ experience in a relevant professional role and working in the financial service industry ideally in a wealth distribution or licensee services environment 
  • Experience in providing technical experience within own area/team
  • Deep knowledge of own area of expertise and good understanding and experience of wealth management and processes of financial planning
  • Good understanding of the regulatory and compliance regime for financial services
  • Tier 1 Training Compliance RG146 – Generic Knowledge & Managed Investments – General Advice is required
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or preparedness to undergo studies in business or a technical discipline or a financial planning diploma is desirable
