LegalVision is a commercial law firm built for forward thinking businesses that want to work differently. Through our fixed-fee legal membership, we provide unlimited legal support to SMEs and in-house teams. Our team uses custom-built technology to deliver fast, high-quality legal support with predictable pricing for clients and rewarding careers for our lawyers.

With rapidly scaling operations across Australia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand, LegalVision offers clear progression, exposure to complex work at scale, and the opportunity to be part of an innovative law firm recognised as a 5 Star Employer of Choice, a Top 25 Attraction Firm, and Law Firm of the Year.

The Opportunity

We are expanding our thriving Dispute Resolution practice and we need a talented and driven 2-4 PQE lawyer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer looking to accelerate their career with real, hands-on work, genuine responsibility and direct client interaction from day one.

You will work directly with clients ranging from SMEs to large corporate entities on a range of complex and commercially significant matters. The work is genuinely interesting and varied, and you will build broad expertise across multiple practice areas rather than being confined to a single niche. One day you might be advising on a high-stakes contract dispute, the next drafting submissions for a regulatory investigation, and then moving on to consumer law claims, leasing disputes, intellectual property litigation, or franchising matters. This breadth of exposure means you'll develop a versatile skill set and deep commercial understanding that sets you apart.

You will be part of a genuinely collaborative team that values work-life balance and supports rather than competes with one another. We offer real flexibility in how and where you work because we know that lawyers thrive when they are trusted with autonomy. This is a culture built on mutual respect and shared success, where you can advance your career without sacrificing your well-being.

Candidates should be confident with the processes and rules of the NSW Courts and the Federal Court. Experience in other jurisdictions will be highly regarded, as will experience acting in proceedings before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (or other state equivalent bodies).

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting a variety of legal documents, including court pleadings, submissions, correspondence, settlement deeds and advice letters.
  • Conducting legal research across diverse practice areas such as contract disputes, regulatory investigations, consumer law, leasing, intellectual property and franchising matters.
  • Collaborating with senior practitioners to develop case strategy and tactical approaches for complex commercial disputes.
  • Reviewing and analysing evidence, contracts and other materials to identify key issues and commercial risks.
  • Preparing for and attending court hearings, mediations, conciliations and client meetings.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Admitted lawyer in New South Wales with 2-4 years of direct experience in commercial disputes and litigation.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to provide strategic, practical advice aligned to clients’ broader business objectives.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted-advisor relationships.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, advocacy, and matter management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working across a diverse range of industries and adapting quickly to new commercial contexts.
  • Team-oriented lawyer who values collaboration, flexibility, and a positive workplace culture.
The Perks
  • Fast-paced environment with accelerated growth opportunities for high performers.
  • Earn additional paid ‘LV Leave’ days, plus paid birthday leave, volunteering leave, and parental leave.
  • Annual budget to spend on external learning and development.
  • Regular team socials, drinks and team lunches.
  • Vibrant office environment in Surry Hills super close to Central Station, and flexible work-from-home options.
