Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Lead Business and Data Analyst reporting to the Group Portfolio Owner.

A bit about your role

As a Lead Business & Data Analyst, you will guide the way we bring clarity to complexity, leading advanced analysis that informs strategic direction, investment decisions and delivery outcomes. You will work end to end across initiatives, translating broad objectives and ambiguous challenges into well-defined problems, clear hypotheses and structured analytical approaches. By thoughtfully bringing together operational, customer, financial and technical data, you will develop insights, options and business cases that shape technology change, program design and funding priorities.

In this role, you will collaborate closely across Operations, Customer and Commercial Finance to define success measures, establish baselines and ensure the right data and assumptions underpin robust analysis. You will integrate diverse inputs into practical and achievable solutions, exploring feasibility, dependencies and impacts across cost, benefits, risk and customer outcomes. Your work will extend into detailed modelling and scenario analysis, enabling a deep understanding of trade-offs and value to support confident decision making.

Just as importantly, you will foster alignment and shared understanding across stakeholders by translating complex insights into clear, compelling narratives and executive-ready materials. You will create space for open and constructive dialogue, building confidence in the path forward. Through mentoring and uplifting analytical practices, you will nurture capability within the team and champion a culture of curiosity, rigour and continuous improvement.

A bit about you

You are a thoughtful and collaborative problem solver who is energised by turning complexity into clarity and purpose into action. With experience in business and data analysis within a large enterprise, you are comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing structure and insight to challenging problems. You combine strong analytical capability with a natural ability to connect ideas, data and people, ensuring solutions are both evidence-based and grounded in real-world impact.

You communicate with warmth and clarity, building trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leaders. You are confident presenting complex ideas in a way that is accessible and engaging, helping others feel informed, aligned and supported in decision making. Your experience within the telco industry or similarly complex environments gives you a practical understanding of operational realities, and you bring a considered approach to change and implementation.

With a genuine passion for learning and supporting others, you take pride in mentoring peers and elevating team capability. You value collaboration, embrace different perspectives and contribute to an inclusive environment where people feel empowered to share ideas and grow together. Guided by purpose and insight, you are motivated to deliver meaningful outcomes that make a lasting difference.
