What you will do

As a Lead Consultant, Digital Management, you'll take a leading role in establishing and delivering digital management, BIM and information management requirements across multidisciplinary building projects.

You will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of project Digital Engineering, BIM and Digital Delivery strategies, execution plans and workflows.
  • Translate client, contractual and project requirements into clear and practical digital delivery processes.
  • Establish and manage project requirements relating to BIM, information management, model coordination, data, asset information and digital deliverables.
  • Work closely with Project Directors, Design Managers and technical teams to embed digital requirements within broader project delivery.
  • Provide digital governance, assurance and oversight across multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Support the implementation of ISO 19650 aligned information management principles and workflows.
  • Lead coordination of digital models, information exchanges, project deliverables and interfaces across complex multidisciplinary environments.
  • Support the establishment and ongoing management of Common Data Environments and digital project systems.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve delivery through automation, data, digital engineering and emerging technologies.
  • Undertake digital compliance reviews, project health checks, reporting and assurance activities.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to Digital Engineering, BIM and Digital Delivery practitioners.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders and represent Aurecon's Digital Delivery capability across major projects.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of digital standards, tools, workflows and capability across our SAVI Buildings business.
  • Support project commercial outcomes through efficient digital delivery, risk management and delivery planning.

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of experience across Digital Management, Digital Engineering, BIM or Information Management within the engineering, design, construction or infrastructure sectors.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, architecture, construction management, Digital Engineering, BIM, information management or a related discipline, supported by substantial industry experience. Relevant professional accreditation or certification would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience leading digital delivery on major, complex and multidisciplinary projects, ideally within a consulting, design or major project environment.
  • Experience operating in a senior digital leadership role across projects involving multiple disciplines, complex stakeholder interfaces and demanding delivery environments.
  • Strong understanding of digital delivery across the project lifecycle, from project mobilisation and design through coordination, construction, commissioning and asset handover.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and governing Digital Engineering Execution Plans, BIM Execution Plans, Exchange Information Requirements, Asset Information Requirements and associated digital delivery documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650, information management principles, Common Data Environments, information exchanges and digital governance frameworks.
  • Experience establishing and managing digital governance, model coordination, information compliance, assurance and reporting processes across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage digital delivery requirements across multiple concurrent projects or workstreams, while maintaining quality, programme and project outcomes.
  • Experience with digital delivery platforms and tools such as Autodesk Forma, Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, ProjectWise, Aconex or equivalent environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience engaging with clients, Project Directors, Design Managers, technical leaders, contractors and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • The ability to interpret complex project, contractual and client requirements and translate them into clear, practical and commercially aware digital delivery solutions.
  • Experience providing leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to Digital Engineering, BIM or Digital Delivery practitioners.
  • Experience across Defence, healthcare, major buildings, sports infrastructure or data centres would be highly regarded, particularly within highly regulated, secure or technically complex project environments.
  • Experience identifying and implementing opportunities involving automation, analytics, AI-enabled workflows or digital innovation within project delivery environments.
